PaaPii x World Vision Finland – Invest in a future for children and act on climate change
We are honored to be collaborating with World Vision Finland, who is doing such valuable work for the environment and the world's most vulnerable children. In PaaPii's Spring Collection we released two special products, an Uljas -shirt for kids and a Sumu -tunic for women. Both garments, in the wonderful forest green Seasons print, are made out of certified organic jersey in PaaPii's own sewing factory in Finland. These two special products are focused on supporting World Vision Finland's FMNR -reforestation efforts. For each garment 0,5-1€ is donated to World Vision Finland's FMNR - reforestation efforts.
Farmer Managed Natural Regeneration (FMNR) helps to empower communities who are suffering from the effects of degraded land and climate change in developing countries. It is a fast, affordable, durable and scalable technology. Children living in the most vulnerable conditions are the first to suffer from climate change. Thanks to reforestation work, families do not have to leave their own homes in other areas in search of a better living, nor do they have to save on children's school fees. (Finland’s World Vision, 2021.)
This cause is especially important to PaaPii, as the forest is a big theme in our work. We love the forest and believe in its healing qualities. We also believe that every child has an equal right to a safe and supportive home and environment. This is why a collaboration with World Vision felt natural from the start.
