An exhibition Muistikuvia kankaalla featuring Anniina Isokangas' fabric designs, will open on July 25th at Lohtaja Vicarage. The exhibition is part of Lohtaja Church Music Festival. Anniina's passion for textiles led her to establish her own company, PaaPii, in 2011. Over the past decade, she has designed nearly 300 patterns for both PaaPii and other companies, which have been used to create fabrics and various products. The exhibition showcases a selection of 25 PaaPii patterns from the past ten years, allowing visitors to explore them as fabrics and garments. You can also delve into the process of creating these unique patterns and discover their sources of inspiration through the artworks.
-The sea and the forest with their landscapes, along with the surrounding plants and animals, serve as an endless source of ideas. Finnish lifestyle, culture, history, environment, and ourselves are also fascinating. It feels good to explore these aspects, to understand where we come from, and to capture our own experiences through drawing, reflects Anniina Isokangas.
