Paapii’s yellow solid- coloured ribbing jersey, in the shade called sun, is designed in Finland and manufactured in the EU.
This fabric is dyed-through. This means that the fabric is the same colour on both sides. Dye-through fabric is durable, as the colour extends throughout the entire material, preventing the emergence of differently coloured fibers during use. The fabric retains its colour for a long time.
Unlike woven fabrics, ribbed jersey is knitted and manufactured on a knitting machine instead of a loom, which makes the fabric inherently stretchy. Thus, classic ribbed jersey is elastic due to its manufacturing process and also contains elastane, ensuring that the ribbing returns to its original shape and does not stretch out.
Paapii's ribbed fabrics are made of 95% organic cotton and 5% elastane. These fabrics are manufactured for Paapii in Europe, in a GOTS- and Öko-Tex-certified factory. The GOTS certification ensures that the fabric is organic and ethically produced from start to finish. Öko-Tex guarantees that the fabric is safe even for sensitive skin.
Stretchy ribbed jersey, is used for necklines, sleeve and cuff openings, hats, and tube scarves.
