Gates of Pohjola

The intriguing content of Kalevala inspired Anniina to draw bears and wolves guarding the gate of the North. The detailed graphic pattern is digitally drawn. For PaaPii, the pattern sparked new poetry.

In groves where spirits of the woods entwine,
Lured by will-o'-wisps' enchanting shine.
Wolves, nobly howling, in the moonlight's grace,
Bears, playing the harp, find a rhythmic embrace.

They pluck tunes from the pines, a melody pure,
Celebrating life's spin, the full moon to assure.
Guardians of the North, the gateway they defend,
Ancestors of woodlands, Mother Nature, transcendent blend.
